Northeastern High School’s archery team finished 21st during the National Archery in the Schools Program Championship-Bullseye in Daytona Beach, Florida. 

The Knights scored 3,213 points during its Thursday, June 6, competition. Two of its archers finished in the top 30 in the nation for their grade. Annie Hickel was 24th among ninth grade girls and ranked 107 for high school girls. Dakota Booker finished 26th among ninth grade boys and 87th for high school boys.

Additional Knights who competed were Emma Gentry, Aerriana Johnson, Bailey Berhalter, Noah Willett, Haylee Brown, Cheyenne Booker, Aiden Leddington, Alicen Cassel, Brianna Shaw, Leann Wadsworth, Hayden Upton, Blake Hampton, Breanna Day, Samantha Whallon, Ayden Alcorn, Austin Robles, Samara Carr, Kaci Schepman and Joseph Bennet. No score was recorded for Alivia Bleil.

Coach Brian Richmond thanked those who donated to make the trip possible. “We have raised enough and are set,” Richmond said in a social media post. “The community support has been tremendous.”
