Main Street Centerville is asking residents to help make the community cleaner, greener and more beautiful during a cleanup week.

On Saturday, May 4, volunteers are asked to meet at Centerville Nazarene, 7181 W. U.S. 40, for breakfast and assignments. They’re encouraged to bring tools to pull weeds and sweep sidewalks, or other items such as shovels and rakes.

On Monday, residents are encouraged to mow their grass and consider helping someone who might need assistance. Other suggestions are picking up trash on Tuesday, washing windows on Wednesday and planting flowers on Friday, while purchasing their supplies from local merchants.

On Thursday, the first 50 who have volunteered and logged time on the POINT app can get a free fountain drink at Americana Pizza.
