Jeannine Hatfield Ferriell, age 93, of Centerville, Indiana, died Monday, October 10, 2022, at Reid Health surrounded by her family.
Born March 30, 1929, in Richmond, Indiana, to Kenneth and Ula Pike Hatfield, Jeannine was the seventh generation of her family to live on Hawthorne Farm in Centerville. Growing up during the depression, Jeannine and her sisters were singing, dancing, and performing acrobatics all over Indiana as the “Hatfield Sisters.” She was an avid golfer until her mid 80’s, and an IU and Purdue basketball fan, but most importantly, she lived her life and will be remembered as a kind, caring, dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved and cherished her family.
Survivors include her four children, Rae Ferriell-Woolpy of Richmond, Mike (Teri) Ferriell of Greens Fork, Indiana, Jane (Rick) Risinger of Westfield, Indiana, and Philip (Karen) Ferriell of Hagerstown, Indiana; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Joseph Raymond Ferriell, who passed away on May 22, 2022; parents; sisters, Barbara Hatfield, Janice Shafer, and Jackie McConaha; and brother, Joseph Hatfield.
There will be no public calling for Jeannine Hatfield Ferriell, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
