BAND DAY FINAL RESULTS
Three Wayne County bands are among the state’s Top 16 in track shows – Centerville, Northeastern and Lincoln.
Hagerstown and Lincoln did not advance to Indiana State Fair Band Day’s night show.
However, Hagerstown did win an award for best percussion in the smallest band category (Class A).
Wayne County nearly swept the mid-sized band awards (Class AA).
Centerville won the top overall AA band award as well as for best music, visual, general effect and percussion.
Centerville was first in Class AA from 2012-2019 and 2021; and was first in the small band category from 1999-2008.
It has always won the overall Class AA award since its inception, except in 2020, when Band Day was canceled for the pandemic.
Northeastern won this year’s guard award for Class AA and was third overall. Yorktown was second overall in AA.
