Whitewater Community Television is offering four IN Focus candidate forums in October that allow residents to submit questions and hear from local candidates in November’s election.

Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce is providing hosts for the programs, and Western Wayne News also serves as a partner for the televised 6 p.m. Thursday discussions.

The first three forums focus on school boards, starting with contested candidates for Nettle Creek (Oct. 3), followed by Northeastern (Oct. 10) and Western Wayne (Oct. 17). Candidates for U.S. Representative (Sixth District) are invited to appear Oct. 24.

Questions for the candidates can be emailed to wctv@iu.edu until noon on the days of the forums. They also can be submitted via WCTV’s Facebook page during the live broadcast.

IN Focus will air live on WGTV, Channel 11 (on Comcast cable in most of Wayne County). The shows will also stream live on WCTV’s Facebook page as well as on WGTV Online, WCTV’s live streaming site at wgtv.viebit.com.

Replays of the forums will be available on WGTV at 10:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays, 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Saturdays and 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sundays.

Audio replays of the program can be heard at 6 a.m. Sundays on G101.3 FM and ESPN Radio 1490AM/100.9FM WKBV.

Chamber leaders, WCTV and WWN also will host a live election night program beginning at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, from the lobby of Indiana University East’s Whitewater Hall.
