Donald Gene Price, 86, of New Castle, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023 quietly in his sleep after a long illness. Don is survived by his daughters; Cindy Arrington and Melissa House, grandchildren; Jayson Arrington, Shawna, Crawford, Alyssa Martin, Joshua Price Goebel, Taylor Price, Austin Price, Hailey Price, and Emily Price-Dinh. He is predeceased by his wife, Carolyn Sue Price, his son, Jeff Price, and his grandson, Treavor Stauble.
Don had a deep fondness and respect for the game of basketball; where he played High School ball at Chrysler High School. He was a lifelong Trojan and IU fan. He loved all animals and wanted to protect them all. He volunteered at the Henry County Animal Shelter in New Castle for many years. He was an avid woodworker, music lover, and world traveler; with sandy beaches and mountain forest among his favorites.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday March 14 at 11 am at the South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition in New Castle. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Henry County Animal Shelter in his name.
