Bob L. Clapp, 93, of Spiceland passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at his residence. He was born February 3, 1930 in New Castle the son of Robert and Minnie Mae (Arnold) Clapp.
Bob attended Spiceland Schools. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a delivery truck driver and surveyor for the state of Indiana and then retired from Ford Motor Corporation in Indianapolis following 32 years of employment. Bob enjoyed playing pool, cards and going to the Casino. He was a caring and giving person, loved animals especially cats and enjoying the mountains.
He is survived by his children, Carol (Steve) Johnson of Spiceland, Greg (Kebe) Clapp of Falmouth, Laurie (Jamie) Hamilton of Knightstown and Sandy Breese (Gary Van Schoyck) of Rushville; nine grandchildren, Heather (Kelly) Hamilton of Greenfield, Brandon (Amanda) Johnson of Indianapolis, Ben Hamilton of Indianapolis, Sara (Pat) Booth of Knightstown, Dana Martin of Indianapolis, Darcy Grady of Anderson, Casey (Kyle) Brown of Knightstown, Carmen (Zach) Bowling of Indianapolis, Morgan (Anthony) Huffman of Milroy; great grandchildren, P.J. and Shelby Booth, Cayden Moore and Joanie Bowling, Preslee and Paxton Brown, Elizah Huffman and Connor Johnson; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan C. Clapp in 2019; two sons, Brian Clapp and Danny Clapp; a grandson, David Michael Saunders; seven brothers and one sister.
Services will be private for the family with burial at Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel.
