Randall Lee “Randy” Riggle, 63, Dublin, passed away Friday evening February 10, 2023 at his home in Dublin. A son of the late Gerald Wayne and Mattie Elizabeth (Limburg) Riggle, Randy was born in Wayne County, Indiana on Dublin Pike while on the way to the hospital. A life long member of the Western Wayne community, Randy attended Milton Elementary School and graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City with the class of 1978. Randy was a skilled auto mechanic and had been employed at Allen Chevrolet for 20 years prior to becoming owner/operator of Riggle’s Garage in Dublin for over 15 years. Randy was a member of the Cushman Club of America and enjoyed vintage cars and drag racing. A Colts fan, Randy looked forward to watching the games at his shop and having fun with his special friends, Rick Smith, Dean Overbay, Jay Callahan, Anthony Fink, Red Hunter and Jeff Pope. Family was important to Randy and any time spent with his kids and grandchildren was treasured.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, the former Connie Sue Swindell. They were married in Cambridge City on September 25, 1993; 3 children, Brandy (Chris) Thomas of Davidson, N. Carolina, Heather, (Chris) Hobbs of Houston, TX and Eli (Stacie) Rhodehamel of Jacksonburg; 6 grandchildren, Brendan Harris, Justin Rhodehamel, Cristian and Chrysteana Hobbs, Peyton and Elijiah French; 4 siblings, Steven Wayne (Pam) Riggle, Jeff (Tonya) Riggle, Mark (Julie) Riggle and Kim (Gary) Newton; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, Paul Riggle; sister in-law, April (Moistner) Riggle; infant niece, Lauren Michelle Riggle.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday February 16, 2023 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Rev. Danny Hines will officiate. Burial will follow at West Side Cemetery in Milton.
