Tonya Yvonne Walker became an aunt at eleven years old to twins, Tennielle Marie Walker-Crabtree and Brandon Duane Walker; they are the first children to our family, she has watched them grow up.
Tonya attended I.U. East University and received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Tonya worked at the Richmond Treatment Center as a counselor for addiction recovery. Her present job was with Benchmark.
Tonya was a very hard worker, reliable and dependable. She worked whenever they called her in to work on her off days. Her family and a few others said she worked too much and never took time out for herself. She was always helping others even with her own problems. Her mother, Carolyn Walker helped her out when she needed help. She was always there for her; they were very close and even lived in the same apartment building. Tonya will be greatly missed by her family and some of her coworkers will miss her as well.
