Paula Parker, age 74, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2022 at IU Health Ball Hospital, Muncie following a brief illness.
She was born in New Castle on April 5, 1948 to Clarence and Thelma Parker and grew up in the country side of Modoc.
Paula graduated from Union School in 1966. After high school she attended Ball State and Asbury College. She then started her career in ministry where she served in different churches throughout her lifetime. She most recently attended Glad Tidings Church in Muncie. Most people will remember her for her contagious laughter and amazing vocal cords. She had a passion for music.
Paula adored her family and many friends. She enjoyed getting together with her family, whether it was a cookout, birthday or the holidays. She always made sure to celebrate everyone’s special moments. Anyone who knew her, knew her love for the Lord. She was always serving Jesus to the fullest and praying for everyone she knew. She will be remembered for her big heart and willingness to help anyone.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her twin sister, Paulette Stautamoyer; 2 nephews, Kevin Stautamoyer and Kris (fiancé, Jen) Stautamoyer; niece, Kim Miller; 2 great nieces, Lacy Miller and Taylor (fiancé, Zane) Miller; nephew, Cody Miller; great great niece, Addison Fisher; great great nephew, Weston Fisher and many special friends who were like family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Thelma Parker; brother Gene Parker; sister Peggy Proctor, and a brother-in-law David Stautamoyer.
Services will be at 1pm Saturday, January 21, at Glad Tidings Church, with burial following at Union Cemetery, Parker City. Friends and family may call Friday, January 20, from 5 to 7pm at Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Blountsville Volunteer Fire Department.
