Charlotte Johnson-Jackson, 69, of Knightstown, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, December 17, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born on July 28, 1953, in New Castle, Indiana, the daughter of Charles P. and Sondra Kay (Davis) Holtzel.
Charlotte was a 1971 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. She studied business at Oklahoma City Community College. Charlotte worked for many years in banking, most recently at Ameriana Bank. For the past six years she worked for the law firm of Brand & Morelock in Greenfield. Charlotte enjoyed remodeling and decorating her home but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was crazy about her dogs, Jax and Koby.
Those left to cherish Charlotte’s memory include her mother, Sondra Kay Holtzel of New Castle; her husband, Jerry G. Jackson; her children, Andy Lee Hudson of New Castle, Ben Hudson of New Castle, and Casey (Jason) Ellis of Greenfield; grandchildren, David Phillip (Beth) Hudson, Kenley Hudson, Zoey Ann Hudson, David Jackson, Trey Nicholas Taylor, Bobby Gene (Ava) Taylor, Alexis Briann Ellis, and Linleigh Elizabeth Ellis; three great-grandchildren, Hope, Cole, and Runa-Rose, and a brother, Mike Holtzel of New Castle.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles P. Holtzel; her second husband, Bob Johnson, and a brother, Phillip Lee Holtzel.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Sproles Family Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Dugger officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 – 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
