Rose Marie Elliott, 88, of Middletown, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 at Middletown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 23, 1934 in Henry County, a daughter of the late Howard Weesner and Juniata (Wehrly) Scott.
Rose was Dietary Manager for many years at Middletown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, Rose was active until the very end. She liked to stay involved in her church of many years, Mt. Summit Christian Church. She was also very active for over 45 years in Raintree Chapter of ABWA (American Business Women Association), where she served in many capacities and offices. She participated in a euchre club for many years, as well as an active member of the Henry County Home Ec Club for over 20 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Dennis (Sharon) Elliott of Kennard and Donna (Curt) Collins of Anderson; grandchildren, Leah Kendall (Matt Lee) of Fishers, Sean (Caitlyn) Collins of Fishers, and Courtney Collins of Anderson; two great grandchildren, Clara Kendall and Liam Collins; a sister, Kathi Nunley of Monteagle, TN; a sister-in-law, Shirley Weesner of Cambridge City; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 67 years, Donald D. Elliott in May, 2022; five brothers, Richard Thompson, Howard Weesner, Bill Weesner, Max Weesner, Tim Weesner, and a sister-in-law, Nancy Weesner.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Mt. Summit Christian Church, with funeral services following at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Ben Brandt will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be given to Mt. Summit Christian Church or to the Stephen Bluffton Memorial Education Fund (SBMEF).
