William “John” Rodgers, age 77, of Brownsville, Indiana, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

Born May 17, 1945, in Flint, Michigan, to R. James and Emma Berry Rodgers, John was a resident of this community most of his life. He was a farmer and also worked at Kroger and Kempers. He enjoyed hunting, farming, and Harley Davidson riding. John was an animal lover and enjoyed bringing home random animals.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Patricia DeLong Rodgers; daughter, Abbie (Bryan) Leland; grandchildren, Christopher Rodgers and Sarah Southern; mother, Emma Rodgers; daughter in law, Pam Rodgers; nieces; nephews; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; son, Obie Rodgers; sisters, Janice Helvern, Janet Wilson, Gloria Campbell; and brother, Robert Rodgers.

Private Graveside service for William “John” Rodgers will be at Elkhorn Cemetery, with Minister Rich Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery.
