Member and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church in New Paris, Friends of the New Paris Library, Delta Theta Tau, 530 Club of New Paris and a volunteer with the American Red Cross. She was key in instilling strong values of kindness and fairness in her children and ensured a foundation of Christian faith through the Presbyterian Church.
June pulled many people into the family fold and welcomed them with loving arms. Being surrounded by family during the holidays gave her the greatest joy in life. She took pride in being a descendent of the original Siamese twins Eng and Chang Bunker and attended Bunker and Atkins reunions as much as she could to keep in touch with family. Trips to New Jersey to see her immediate family are forever etched in the memories of her surviving children. She was an avid reader with an affinity for historical accounts of heroism and other non-fiction books. June volunteered as a school nurse for C.R.
