Betty Jean Perdue, 82, of New Castle, died Monday, November 21, 2022, at The Waters of New Castle.
She was born on August 27, 1940, in Monticello, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Addie and Maymie (Coffee) Tuggle.
Betty was of Baptist faith and had attended Whittier Lane Baptist Church and Grace Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, going to rummage sales, sewing, cooking, and fishing. Most of all, Betty cherished her family.
Those left to cherish Betty’s memory include a son, Frankie (Sharon) Perdue, and a daughter, Rhonda (Nathan) Barber, both of New Castle; two brothers, Claude Tuggle of Louisville, KY, and Darrell Tuggle of New Castle; a sister, Reda Denny of Waynesburg, KY; grandchildren, Rachel (Richard) Rewerts, Nicholas (Megan) Barber, Ashley (Kenny) Herran, Ryan (Payton) Perdue, Austin Perdue, and Teddi Perdue; great-grandchildren, Jayce and Addy Herran, Natalie and Joseph Rewarts, and Levi Barber, and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Frank Perdue; a son, George R. Perdue; four brothers, Eugene, Arvis, Roylee, and Carlos Tuggle, and two sisters, Lula Coffey, and Bernice Watson.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, November 28, 2022, at South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
