Carolyn Sue Sorrell, age 82, a resident of New Castle, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at her residence. She was born March 30, 1940, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Lloyd & Hyacinth (Cain) Kern.
Carolyn married the love of her life Millard “Bart” Sorrell in 1958 and enjoyed several years of marriage until his death in 2015. Carolyn enjoyed crocheting, going to bingo the riverboat & casino. The title she cherished most was being wife, mother, and grandmother. More than anything she loved being with her precious family.
Carolyn is survived by her three children, Violet Wallace, Jeffrey Sorrell and Bart Sorrell; several grandchildren great-grandchildren nieces, nephews, cousins, friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents listed above and her husband and 2 brothers.
A Memorial Visitation will take place on Wednesday November 23, 2022 from 5:00 ~ 7:00 PM at Rose City Funeral Home, 2011 Broad St New Castle, In.
