Loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Teacher and Dear Friend to so many, Michelle Hoff Lee, (72) died on November 9, 2022.
Born and raised in Richmond, Ind., she was the daughter of HoffCo, Inc. co-founder, Stephen J. Hoff and his wife Nancy Duning Hoff, a sister to Michael Hoff and Stephanie Bottine. Her face lit up with a mischievous grin and twinkle in her eye when she spoke of her years in Richmond often these memories included her lifelong friend and ‘soul sister’ Virginia (Ginny) Botkin. Michelle resided in many places including Warrenville, IL, Westerville, OH, Arcadia, CA, and Boxford, MA while she raised her two daughters Mackenzie Jordan (Lee) Bradley (fmr. md: Jamie S. Bradley) and Merek Jessica (Lee) Bigelow (md: Raymond Bigelow) and was married to James W. Lee throughout this time. Eventually settling in Naples, she spoke fondly of her deep appreciation for the many places she lived in her lifetime. Michelle was a skilled and passionate art teacher for over 30 years – the majority of those years serving at Golden Gate Middle School within the Collier County Public School District. During this time, she and a colleague created and founded what is now known as the Naples Holocaust Museum. A nurturer always, Michelle’s most recent years have been spent as ‘Mimi’ lovingly in the role of grandmother to Marison Bradley, Raymond ‘Jack’ Bigelow, Ryan Bigelow and Carly Bigelow as well as a loving ‘mother’ to her bernedoodle puppy, Agape. Michelle’s selfless love made an impact on many.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her but particularly those lucky enough to call her family.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, December 10th from 3-5pm at Fuller Funeral Home and is welcome to all who knew her. For online condolences, please visit FullerNaples.com
