Youth sports sign-up deadlines approaching

Several Wayne County nonprofit youth sports organizations are concluding their registration for summer programs in the coming days.

Some organizations can offer information about financial assistance upon request. 

• Cambridge City Youth League’s registration closes March 9. For the first time it offers two divisions of T-ball. One includes ages 3-4 or ages 5-6 with no previous experience. The other is for ages 5-6 with experience. Baseball is offered for ages 8 and older. Online registration is offered at forms.gle/TznFgJ8JpnCbvYNL6. In-person registration sessions have not yet been announced. 
• Centerville Youth League sign-ups end March 9 for baseball, softball, T-ball and volleyball. Costs vary by division but range from $35-$65. Families also need to make a refundable concession deposit and sell raffle tickets or choose a buyout. Registration is offered at CYLsports.com.
• Community soccer registration ends March 16 for practices and games taking place in April and May in Pershing. Boys and girls from preschool through high school are invited to participate for $30. Registration is offered from 9-11 a.m. March 1 and 3-5 p.m. March 2 at Dublin Gospel Mission Church, 148 N. Dublin St., Dublin. For more information, call 765-541-2225.  
• Fountain City Recreational Association signups will be offered from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. March 1, 5:30-7:30 p.m. March 6 and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. March 8, all at the south diamond. Families should bring the child’s birth certificate to registration along with cash or credit/debit card. A new $80 ticket buyout is due at registration as well. • Hagerstown Little League registration for baseball and softball closes March 2. Registration is available at HagerstownLittleLeague.com or in person from 1-3 p.m. March 2 at Hagerstown Elementary, 299 N. Sycamore St. The cost is $75, with discounts for additional siblings. It’s open to children in the league boundary who attend Hagerstown, Union (Modoc), Western Wayne or Centerville-Abington schools.  
• Richmond Evening Optimist softball, volleyball and baseball registrations close March 15. Some programs are $50 for the youngest participants, but most are $80 per child. For more information, visit leagues.bluesombrero.com/reo
• Richmond Family YMCA will offer outdoor soccer for boys and girls in preschool through fourth grade in April. Soccer registration is due March 22. Track and field, T-ball and flag football also will be offered soon. For more information, visit richmondfamilyymca.org or call 765-962-7504.

• Williamsburg Youth League is offering baseball and softball for $50 per child and T-ball for $25 starting at age 3. Sibling discounts are available. Sign-ups are available at wylsports.com
