Black Legacy Project of Wayne County is registering vendors for its upcoming Black Expo.
The new family-friendly event celebrating Black culture and the local African American community is planned for noon-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at First Bank Kuhlman Center, 861 Salisbury Road N., Richmond.
Organizers welcome groups providing information and entertainment and vendors who provide fee-based services, food and products. Some ideas include food, arts, crafts, music, poetry and children’s activities.
Additional expo collaborators include Indiana University East, Ivy Tech Community College, Townsend Community Center Inc. and NAACP Branch #3066.

Booth space is $30.
The nonprofit Black Legacy Project promotes knowledge and interest in the stories and legacies that Black residents have contributed to the county. Annual memberships start at $25.
The organization recently announced it will start presenting monthly past and present legacy highlights on Whitewater Community Television. Wayne County Foundation is sponsoring the video series.
