Donations are sought through March 31 for a $5,000 matching opportunity to help residents with housing, food, transportation or child care.

Koechlein Family Fund is partnering with First English Lutheran Church to provide a $5,000 matching opportunity through United Way of Whitewater Valley called REACH, or Relief for Everyday Assistance through Community Help.

The campaign aims to raise $10,000 that will support local families or individuals needing rental, utility, food and transportation assistance or after-school care.

Donations can be made by texting REACH2024 to 91999, visiting GiveTheUnitedWay.com or calling 765-962-7200.

Dollars from the Koechlein Family Fund were donated by family and friends in memory of John Koechlein, who died last December. The gift honors the Richmond resident’s 30-year career as a caseworker for the State of Indiana.
