Last season was the first time in program history that the Hagerstown softball program won the Tri-Eastern Conference championship. On Wednesday, May 21, the Lady Tigers closed out regular season play by defeating Winchester 12-3 to clinch the outright TEC title for the second year in a row. The win extended the Lady Tigers’ regular-season TEC win streak to 17.
The 2A eighth-ranked Tigers were focused from the first pitch, scoring nine runs in their first at-bat. The game was halted after five innings because of rain.
Aaliya Anderson collected three hits for Hagerstown. Mackenzee Johnson, Coley Parrish and Rylan Young each had two hits. Johnson tripled, Parrish had two doubles and Young doubled twice and drove in three runs. Young was also the winning pitcher, limiting the Falcons to five hits. Allie Campbell collected two hits for Winchester.
