Hagerstown council held a special meeting Wednesday, May 20, to follow up on a pending lot sale with new town residents David Moore and Laura Crowe-Moore. Moore inquired about the lot at 198 N. Perry Street.
Town manager Chris LaMar agreed to provide the council the property’s exact value.
LaMar said the property was purchased in 2016 at $10,000. A prior building removal bid was $14,400. Other miscellaneous expenses brought the total value to $25,000.
With no adjoining property owners to consider for a bid process, the council approved to finalize $25,000 as the asking price. Town attorney Jon Madison will coordinate the official sale with the Moores at a later date.
