The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office announced Saturday morning it is seeking the public’s assistance in locating three female fugitives with ties to the Hagerstown, Indiana, area.
The three family members have absconded with three children, withholding two of the children from their fathers and deliberately ignoring a court order, according to a news release from Sheriff Randy Retter.
Warrants have been issued by the Wayne County, Indiana, courts for the arrest of Heather Jo Frost for interference with custody, a Level 6 felony; and Nancy Bohlander Frost and Abbey Frost for interference with custody, a level 5 felony.
During the course of this investigation, it was determined that Heather Frost was assisted by her mother, Nancy Frost, and sister, Abbey Frost to elude law enforcement and hide the children, Retter said.
As a result, warrants were issued for the mother-daughter trio. Since these warrants have been issued, the Frost family has avoided arrest and refused to cooperate with this investigation, Retter said.
The sheriff’s department says the women might have changed appearance and/or be using fake identities.
A poster from the sheriff’s department features three children, two boys and a girl, and asks if anyone has seen them. Trace 8, has brown hair and brown eyes; and Lane is 3 and has blonde hair and brown eyes. Emery is 3, and she has light brown hair and brown hair.
If known information involves a current location for the Frost family, Retter asks residents to contact the Wayne County Emergency Communication Department at (765) 973-9355 or their local law enforcement agency. In the case of an emergency, call 911.
Anyone with non-urgent information is asked to contact Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Detective Clevenger at (765) 973-9393 ext. 1537 or email at nclevenger@co.wayne.in.us.
