Wayne County Sheriff Randy Retter has shared a photo of an armed robbery suspect at a Cambridge City convenience store.
The sheriff’s office investigated an armed robbery at Village Pantry, 1375 South Indiana 1 shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday, July 29.
An unknown white male entered the store at approximately 11:02 p.m. demanding cash and cartons of cigarettes, Retter said, and brandished what was described as a large kitchen-style knife.
Retter said the suspect left with approximately $200 in cash and numerous cartons of cigarettes. The cigarettes were carried away in a trash bag.
The suspect left the store walking west, Retter said. He is described as a white male of unknown age, approximately 5’10” – 5’11,” who weighs about 165 pounds.
Retter said the suspect had light brown hair, accompanied by facial hair. He was wearing black gloves, a white surgical mask with a blue bandana around his neck and a dark color baseball cap with green logo on the front.
He also had on a dark blue long-sleeved shirt with white T-shirt underneath and blue jeans, Retter said. The suspect’s shoes were black Nike tennis shoes with white stripe and soles with neon green shoe laces.
