Qualifying athletes traveled to Lawrence Central High School on Tuesday, May 27, to compete in the track and field regional. Only the top three in each event advance to the state track meet, and no athlete representing a Wayne County school met that standard. North Central High School won the event with 90.5 points. Richmond finished 20th with 7 points, Seton Catholic finished in a tie for 26th with 2 points and Northeastern finished 30th with 0.33 points. 

Scoring athletes:

Richmond — Akailyn Hogg, seventh in the 100 meter and seventh in the 200 meter (4 points). Jenna Johnson, sixth in shot put (3 points) 

Seton Catholic — Sara Swinney, seventh in the 400 meter (2 points)

Northeastern — Payton Gross, three-way tie for eighth in high jump. (0.33 points) 

Results for other participating athletes by school: 

Centerville — Kaylynn Wolfal, 10th in 1600 meter; Abigail Sangster, 12th in discus; the team of Wolfal, Anna Nevels, Lily Black and Paige Dixon, 15th in 4×800 meter relay.  

Northeastern — Amiyah Davis, 16th in long jump. 

Richmond — Keena Barker, 15th in 1600 meter; Shanel Sexton, 15th in long jump; Shaylon Sexton did not place in high jump; the team of Hogg, Kashawn Farris-Craig, Shaylon Sexton and Lily Vanlandingham, 9th in the 4×100 meter relay. 

Seton Catholic — Bella Cornell, 16th in 100 meter; Sara Swinney 10th in 200 meter; Bryn VanVleet, 12th in 100 meter hurdles; Jolie Scherschel, 15th in high jump; the team of Swinney, VanVleet, Gwynie Falcone and Cornell, 16th in 4×400 meter relay.
