Late Friday night, area police announced that a man who was being sought through a statewide Silver Alert has been found safe.

Winchester Police Department announced shortly before 5:30 p.m. Friday that they were investigating the disappearance of 51-year-old Scott Reynolds.

Reynolds was missing from Winchester and was last seen Dec. 30 in Richmond. At that time, he was wearing a neon green toboggan, blue jacket, black shirt and blue jeans.

Around 7:30 p.m. Friday, Winchester police shared that Reynolds was no longer a subject of the Silver Alert.

“Scott Reynolds has been located safe and sound!” department officials posted on social media. “Thank you to everyone who provided to us information on his whereabouts!”
