School weather delays

*Richmond Community Schools: Two-hour delay. All RCS buses will be running on this adjusted schedule. Morning preschool classes will not meet.

*Western Wayne: 90-minute delay. School at LMHS will begin at 10 a.m.

School at WWES will begin at 10 a.m. Drop off will begin at 9:45 a.m. Latchkey will begin at 8:30 a.m.

*Union (Modoc): Tw0-hour delay. Jr/Sr. High students should report to 1st period. AM Preschool 10 a.m.-noon; PM Preschool 1-3 p.m.

*Seton Catholic: Tw0-hour delay

*Excel Center of Richmond: Opens at 11 a.m. First period: 11  a.m.- noon; 2nd period: 12:05 – 1:05 p.m.; Lunch: 1:05 – 1:35 p.m.; 3rd period: 1:35 – 2:35 p.m.; 4th period: 2:40 – 3:40 p.m.

*Nettle Creek: 90-minute delay

*Northeastern Wayne: Elementary dropoff at 9:40 a.m. for 9:55 a.m. start; preschool dropoff at 9:55 for 10 a.m. start. Middle and high schools drop off at 9:45 a.m. for 10:05 start. Latchkey is canceled.

Some schools use the National Weather Service Wind Chill Chart to help determine exposure dangers based on the combined temperature and wind chill.


COVID-related closure

Hand-in-Hand Adult Day Center: Closed Wednesday January 25th thru Friday, January 28th, due to an outbreak of COVID cases within the center.
“We will reassess the situation over the week-end to determine if it is safe to reopen on Monday, January 31st. If your loved one becomes ill over the next several days, PLEASE call the center and leave a voicemail to let us know, as this will help us as we assess the situation over the weekend. We will NOT require a negative COVID test to return to the center next week, but as always, please make sure your loved one is feeling well and FREE from any symptoms of sickness. We will post any updates on our Facebook Page and on the Voicemail at the center. If you do not hear from us, you will know we are planning to run a normal schedule on Monday, January 31st!
