City officials say that Richmond residents’ opinions matter in an online survey about recreation, infrastructure and other topics.
The survey includes list of projects that have been identified by residents as priorities in previous public planning events.
Responses are due Jan. 21.
Lindsay Darnell, community development coordinator, said city officials are seeking community input about projects from the 2019 comprehensive plan to determine if the vision still aligns with it.
Respondents are to rank each project based on how important they believe it is for improving the community. Feedback is said to play a key role in shaping decisions on future development and investment projects.
Connectivity options to rank are expanded transit routes and on-demand service, a new city website, trail expansion planning, and signage in Richmond and along Interstate 70.
Amenities to consider include a music venue, Whitewater Gorge recreation, a sports park, new Glen Miller playground and public art.
Infrastructure options include roads/sidewalks/utilities for housing, blight elimination, the North West Fifth Street corridor, expanding Midwest Industrial Park and replacing outdated fire stations.
City officials shared the survey on the government’s social media. It can be completed at wwn.to/richmondrank.
