The Reid Center will host six live performances this fall, plus special Halloween and Christmas events.
Reid Live! features free noon performances the first and third Wednesdays of September, October and November inside the former Reid Presbyterian Church, 1004 N. A St., Richmond, according to a news release. The performance lineup is:
- Sept. 4: Rachel Spry Lammi, organ.
- Sept. 18: Frederick Chatfield, organ; Dennis Bridgewater, hammered dulcimer; Charles Ramsey, guitar; and Shiyu Wang, piano.
- Oct. 2: Harvey Thurmer, violin; and Heather MacPhail, piano.
- Oct. 16: Alisa Clapp-Itnyre, soprano.
- Nov. 6: Karen Rosenberger, organ; Ray Ontko, cello; Robert Cook, baritone; and Lisa Ginn, piano.
- Nov. 20: Joe Backmeyer, organ.
Tours of the historic building that features 62 Tiffany stained-glass windows will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 4, Oct. 2 and Nov. 6 prior to the Reid Live! performances. Tours are also available at 11 a.m. on three Saturdays — Sept. 14, Oct. 12 and Nov. 9.
At 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27, organist Jonathan Hampton will accompany the 1922 silent film “Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror,” one of the first filmed versions of Dracula. Tickets are $10 and available online at reidcenter.org/tickets or at the Old National Road Welcome Center, 5701 National Road E., Richmond.
Christmas at Reid Center will feature holiday music and readings. The free event will have two sessions, at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 17.
