Hagerstown’s Will Combs doubled twice among his three hits during a victory over Shenandoah.

The Hagerstown Tiger baseball team hosted 2A 11th-ranked Shenandoah in a nonconference clash between potential sectional opponents on Wednesday, April 15, on Lloyd Michael Field. The Tigers used the freshmen duo of Kaden Hall and Jaykob Troutwine to slow the high-scoring Raider offense in a 7-2 Tiger win. The Raiders entered the game averaging over 19 runs per game, but on this day, runs were hard to come by for the Raiders. Hall pitched the first five innings, striking out six and holding the Raiders scoreless to earn the win. Troutwine picked up the save.

The Tigers never trailed in the game, taking a 7-0 lead into the seventh inning before surrendering two runs in the top of the seventh.

The Raiders were held to three hits, and Drew Fredenburg collected two of them.

Senior Will Combs was 3-3 for the Tigers with two doubles and drove in two runs. Fellow senior Aiden Grover was 2-4 with two doubles, two runs batted in and scored twice. Freshman Jaxon Hale also doubled and drove in a run.
