Chanticleer String Quartet has announced the dates for its 50th summer music festival.

Caroline Klemperer Green is still performing in the Richmond-based quartet she founded in 1977 that brings musicians from across the country to play in Indiana.

This year, the quartet and guest pianist Darius Frowner will play popular music from “Star Wars,” “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Phantom of the Opera” as well as selections by composers Haydn, Brahms, Schubert, Beethoven and Mozart.

The festival kicks off with a private event at Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County.

Additional performances in Richmond include concerts at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 26, at Bethany Theological Seminary; 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at Richmond State Hospital and 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, at Chanticleer Farm, 944 Woods Road, south of Richmond off U.S. 27.

In case of rain, the farm concert will be at the same time at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 800 N. A St.

Other Indiana performances are at 7 p.m. July 23 at Honeywell Center in Wabash, 10:30 a.m. July 24 at Timbercrest Senior Living in North Manchester, and 12:15 p.m. July 28 at Arts Garden in Indianapolis.
