Cambridge City Police Department received multiple complaints Monday, July 29, in reference to an individual allegedly making threats on social media to “massacre” people in the Cambridge City community.
In a news release, the department police said the complaints were investigated and ultimately an arrest was made. Officers acted quickly on this incident and had the suspect in custody approximately 1 hour after the post was made, the release said.
Dublin resident Jakob M. Gaddis, 19, was arrested on a charge of intimidation, a Level 6 felony, and was lodged in the Wayne County Jail.
Wayne County Sheriff’s Department records show Gaddis was arrested at 3:07 p.m. and was released a little more than four hours later.
“We would like the community to know that we take threats against individuals and our community very seriously and they will be investigated and prosecuted,” police said in the release.
