Carol Ann Stults, 83, of New Castle, passed away on October 10, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 28, 1942, in Connersville to the late Floyd and Anna (Wolfe) Kessler.
Carol lived a life centered on home, family, and simple joys. She was a 1961 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. She was a homemaker until her youngest child started school, and then began a long and faithful career in food service at New Castle Chrysler High School, where she worked for 32 years.
Carol found happiness in the everyday moments that meant the most to her. Her greatest joy was caring for and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping, boating, and tending to her roses, pleasures that brought beauty and peace to her life.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 65 years, Melvin Stults; children, Melody (William) Davis, Ronald (Julie Lee) Stults, and Mark (Julie Kay) Stults; grandchildren, Christie (Jared) Ogden, Ryan (Shae) Davis, Rhonda Bartel, Ronald Stults Jr., Casey (Brittany) Stults, Rusty (Katie) Stults, and Krista (Tyler) Sibery; great grandchildren, Zoe (Coltan) West, Zyler Ogden, Arya Felix, Oaklei Davis, Scarlett Davis, Evan Stults, Blaine Cavanaugh, Harvey Stults, Owen Stults, Elliana Stults, and Oliver Stults; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Gray; and her cousin that was considered a sister and her husband, Laura (Jerry) Gold.
Services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Larry Neal officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery.
