Robert “Bob” L. McCormick, 79, of New Castle passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 at his residence. He was born April 26, 1944 in Livingston, Tennessee to the late Carver and Beula Magdalene (Walker) McCormick.
Bob graduated from Walter P. Chrysler High School and married his high school sweetheart, Sherry Tout, in 1965. (She lovingly referred to him as “Mac” over the years.) He worked for Dana Corp. for 25 years, then pursued a degree in Maintenance and HVAC and started working for Anderson University, where he retired as the Assistant Director of the Physical Plant after 22 years. He was the go to guy when anything needed fixing or he could “jerry-rig” it until he could make it work. Bob enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding, piddling in the garage, and traveling on many mission trips.
Bob was a devout Christian man, who loved and served God with his whole heart and soul. He loved spending summers at church camp investing in the spiritual growth of many youth. He was the youth director for many, many…
