Connersville native Paul Lane Quyle, 87, died Sunday, February 5, 2023, surrounded by his family at Hancock Regional Hospital, in Greenfield.
Paul was born on April 8, 1935, to Maynard and Bernice Clifford Quyle. He attended and graduated from Connersville Senior High School with the class of 1954.
While in school, Paul met his true love, the former Sarah A. “Sally” Mount. They married on March 19, 1955, in Connersville; together they have shared sixty-seven wonderful years. Paul was faithfully employed with Merchandise Equipment Group for thirty-two years prior to their close in March of 1992. He was a proud member and representative of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Jointers of America.
In addition, Paul was a very involved member of Park Place Church of God, serving on the Board of Trustees. He was an extraordinary handyman with the ability to fix any and everything. Paul enjoyed riding his bicycle on his “route” around town, stopping by to visit friends along the way. He held a special place in his heart for animals but nothing took more precedence than his wife and daughters. Paul and Sally shared a love that few are fortunate to experience; she truly was the love of his life. Furthermore, he graciously referred to himself as a girl-dad, as there was nothing more precious to him than his girls. Paul will be dearly missed by all who know and love him.
In addition to his loving wife: Sarah, Paul is survived by his daughters and their spouses: Lisa Dorrel and Brian, Michelle Davis and Mark; brother: Robert Quyle and Sharon; grandchildren: Breanne Ripberger and Dustin, Benjamin Dorrel and Kristin Denni, Ian Dorrel; great-granddaughters: Scarlett, Caylie, Emarie, Andie; several nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his brother: Jerry Quyle.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday February 13, 2023 at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m., until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Fayette County Humane Society or Fayette County Cancer Society in Paul’s honor.
