Neil A. Parker, 80, a former Fountain City resident, passed away on Saturday, November 18 in Richmond, where he had resided for the past several years.
Neil was born on April 3, 1943, the son of David E. & Dorothy B. (Burnap Parker Copley. Neil had formerly worked for Sherman Williams. For many years, he lived in a group home at North Street and US 27 operated by Dovie and Leon Lynch. From there, he took frequent walks up the street for his two-liter bottles of soda and smokes.
Neil is survived by a sibling in Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Julia A. “Julie” Rusch in 2011.
A graveside service will be held at Lee Cemetery in Vanlue, Ohio. The date and time are still pending.
