Connersville resident Michael Lee White, 59, died Friday, March 3, 2023 at his residence.

Mike was born on July 25, 1963 to Carolleta Fay Berger in Rushville. He graduated from Connersville High School with the class of 1981. Following graduation, Mike enlisted in the army where he received several awards including: Army service medal, Marksman, sharpshooter, achievement medal, and good conduct medal. He was a hardworking man who was employed in maintenance at the Horseshoe Casino in Shelbyville for almost fifteen years with perfect attendance. Mike was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and tending to his chickens and cows. He was an exceptional woodworker creating many pieces including individual mini-barns for each of his grandchildren. Mike embraced the Native American culture and was an avid collector. He was a recovering alcoholic who has proudly been sober for thirty-years. His favorite pastimes were eating, and spending time with his grandchildren. Mike was an outstanding cook who enjoyed preparing meals for his family; his fried chicken and taters where always a house favorite. He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, family, and friends.

In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by his sons: Bronson White, Dakota White; daughtes: Britain White, Cheyenne White; grandchildren: Benton, Hayden, Gunner, Bo, Bryleigh, Anberlin; brother: Henry Bulmer and Vickie; sisters and their spouses: Michelle Murray and Albert, Judy Reece and Walter; several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday March 9, 2023 at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Burial will follow in Laurel North Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m., until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelby County United Fund For You (SCUFFY) or Girls Inc Shelbyville in Mike’s honor.
