Lois (Ford) Richey, age 90, of New Castle, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Henry Community Health in New Castle. She was born September 9, 1932, in New Castle, Indiana to the late Carl & Nellie (Keesling) Ford.
Lois was married to Russell Raines, Charles Adkins & Clifford Richey. She was a member of Cornerstone Church and Open Arms Church and loved her church family dearly. Her walk with God was something she was proud of, and she loved playing the organ at church. She worked for the State Hospital for 20 years. She was an avid Bingo player and simply enjoyed living life to its fullest. More than anything she enjoyed her time with her precious family who she loved dearly.
Lois is survived by children Sharon Gail (Greg) Haggard, Deborah (Randy) Amonett, Michael Raines, Trisha (Michael) Keller, Beth Ann Smith, Teresa Stephens & Misty (Larry) Falin: Grandchildren; Wendy, Randy “Dale”, Trisha, Micah, Jaime, Kevin, Kyle, Chelsea, Tristen, Ben, Tony Michael, Haley, Tyler, Christopher, Shawn, Samantha, Chris, Amanda, Heidi, Scott, & Gina: as well as several great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins and extended family also survive.
Lois is proceeded in death by her parents and 3 husbands listed above: children; Sheryl Woodard, Donita Denny, Tony Adkins & Terry Adkins: two grandsons Thomas Michael Taylor & Eli Keller and sister Ruth Harris.
Visitation for Lois will take place on Tuesday March 14, 2023 from 11:00-1:00 at Rose City Funeral Home, 2011 Broad St in New Castle. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Burial will take place at Hillsboro Cemetery in New Castle.
