Larry D. Ammerman, age 82 formerly of Connersville, passed away on Sunday February 26, 2023 at his home in New Palestine, IN. Larry was born on October 9, 1940, in Harrison Ohio, the son of the late Ralph and Gladys Courtney Ammerman.
Larry served his country in the U.S. Army from January 1960 to November 1962. He worked for Schneider Trucking as an over the road driver and a mechanic. Larry enjoyed bowling and watching Fox News. The best form of relaxation, according to Larry, was the many cruises he had taken. Above all he treasured his time spent with his family.
His love and memories will be cherished by his children, Angela (Terry) Hulen, Larry D. (Teresa) Ammerman, Jr. and Candi Taylor as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be thought of often by his siblings, Bill (Kathy) Ammerman, David (Vivian) Ammerman, Eric Ammerman and Bonnie (Alan) Hensley.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepmother, Larcina Ammerman; the mother of his children, Nancy Stephens Ammerman Grimes, second wife, Ann Dickerson Ammerman; and a sister, Linda Kraus.
Friends may visit with the family at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville on Thursday March 2, 2023, from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. Burial with graveside military honors will be at Laurel North Cemetery.
