John David Daniel, 54, of Milton, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Reid Health, Richmond.
He was born February 14, 1969 in Connersville to Robert Richard and Rita Ann Frank Daniel and graduated from Connersville High School.
He had most recently been working for County Tire the last six years. Previously, he worked for Wal-Mart Automotive for 10 years and Visteon for 13 years.
He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
In his leisure, John enjoyed playing football. A member of the FFA, he helped on the Daniel and Frank Farm, Scott and Bobby Risselman Farm, and the Lowell Risch Farm. He was a 10 year 4-H member and had also participated in the Daniel Family Volunteer Cattlemen’s Open Show for over twenty years. He helped his kids with 4-H goat projects. He also helped his kids, nieces, and nephews groom cattle for the fair. He was great at constructing small projects.
John loved his children and grandchildren. He was a simple man with a big heart, always willing to help anyone in need.
In his free time, John enjoyed listening to the Bob and Tom Show. He also enjoyed watching the Andy Griffith Show and Western movies, such as: Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Yellowstone, and Ma and Pa Kettle.
Survivors include three children, Nathan Allen (Julie) Daniel, John Jacob (Kayla) Daniel, and Katie Mae Stepper, all of Connersville; eleven grandchildren, Chad Daniel, Sydney Keith, Sarah Keith, Myla Ailes, Makinze Daniel, Bailey Daniel, Dawson Daniel, Zoey Harsh, Adein Stepper, Lilly Stepper, and Casein Stepper; five siblings, Brenda A. (Rick) Hamilton, Barbara L. Daniel, Beth C. (Curtis) Tipton, and Becky M. Hanson, all of Connersville, and Jeffery M. (Patsy) Daniel of Milton; a sister-in-law, Edwina Daniel; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Anthony Daniel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Dustin Boehm at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Recitation of the Rosary will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. with visitation to follow until 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2023 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
