Danny Ray Witt, 71, left us on January 1, 2023, with his family by his side.
Danny was born December 11, 1951, in Richmond, Indiana, to Farris and Elsie Witt.
Danny served in the U.S. Marines and was very proud to do so. He graduated from Ivy Tech College with degrees in carpentry, electrical and mechanics. He worked at Sparkling Image Car Wash for many years.
Danny loved his family, especially his grandchildren whom he spent so much time with. They would take walks looking for change and then buying snacks. He loved doing jigsaw puzzles, but his passions was collecting coins and paper money. He could spend hours talking about them and what they represented.
Danny is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Spencer Witt, his granddaughter, Taylor Irene Scalf, his parents, Farris and Elsie Witt, his brother, Luther Witt and his sister, Bonnie Feller.
Danny leaves behind his daughter, Diana Witt, son, Robert Lakes, both of Indianapolis, IN, grandchildren, Gage, Valerie, Damien, Jenny, Madison, Michael, Lyndsay and Kaylee, great grandchildren, brother, Steve Witt of Phoenix, AZ, sisters, Ruth Pritchett-Burt and Phyllis Mullins both of Richmond, IN, and sister-in-law, Linda Witt of Richmond, IN. He also leaves behind his best friend, Vickie Conley-Toschlog, a special friend, Claudetta McIntyre-Bentley and Sharon Hormel, along with many friends and family.
