Cally Ann Golden, 56, of New Castle, passed away early on the morning of Friday, March 3, 2023 at Hickory Creek at New Castle.
She was born on January 23, 1967, in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of the late James Oliver “Diamond Jim” and Debbie (Winchester) Golden.
Cally loved the outdoors and especially fishing. She enjoyed cooking, watching movies, and being with her three boys – who were her entire world. Cally had worked at Brooks Foods, Pendleton Juvenile Prison, and Top Hat on Broad Street. She was a graduate of PJ’s School of Cosmetology. For many years, Cally attended Southside Church of Christ until her health made it impossible for her to attend.
Those left to cherish Cally’s memory include her three sons, whom she loved dearly, Tommy Lee Starr Hoppes, Robert “Robbie” Edward Hoppes, and Nicolas Cody Hoppes all of New Castle; a granddaughter, Emma Jo Miller; a sister, Milissa “Lisa” Lynn Copley of New Castle; three aunts, Donna Marcum, Cathy Winchester, and Pebbles (Clint) Caudill, all of New Castle; a nephew, Robert Copley; nieces, Christina Copley, Heather Golden, and Lindsay Perry, and several cousins.
In addition to her parents, Cally was preceded in death by a sister, Paula Perry; a brother-in-law, Robert Copley; three uncles, Ronald Winchester, Richard Marcum, and Bruce Purvis, and two aunts, Susan Purvis and Carol Lynn Winchester.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, March 6, 2023 at Sproles Family Funeral Home with Bobby Pierce officiating.
Friends may call from 1:00 pm until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
