Betty Ann Cleary, 76, of Connersville, passed away Thursday morning, January 19, 2023 at Hickory Creek Healthcare.
She was born April 29, 1946 in Connersville, the younger of two children of Paul and Virginia Bradford Benjamin. She graduated from Connersville High School and spent most of her life in Connersville.
For a time, Betty worked at Philco-Ford. Later, she was employed at Dollar General.
She was a member of Grace Community Church.
Involved in the community, Betty volunteered for the Gleener’s Food Truck as well as the Grace Community Pantry. A loving person, she enjoyed caring for people and was always very generous and giving.
She also loved lady bug collectibles and cross stitching.
A baseball fan, Betty loved the Cincinnati Reds and could name all the players.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra Proffitt of Madison, Indiana and Ashley Short of Williamsburg, Indiana; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Cox of Connersville; a niece, Shelli Smith of Salem, Indiana; and a great niece, Megan James of Jacksonville, Florida.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Danny Cleary, and a grandson, Zachariah Cleary.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2023 at Grace Community Church. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ellis McQueen officiating.
