Angela Rebecca (Brown) Campbell, 55, of Cameron, North Carolina, passed away at her home on March 23rd, 2023 after a hard-fought battle with Thalamic Glioblastoma.

Angela was born September 11th, 1967, in Richmond, Indiana to Ovid D. and Lola (Mock) Brown.  Angela was a 1985 graduate of Northeastern High School and attended Boyce Bible College in Louisville, KY.  Angela married Raymond David Campbell on December 28th, 1985, experiencing 37 beautiful years of happiness and two wonderful sons.

As a military wife, and a minister’s wife, Angela loved to travel the world and often remarked on the family’s 20 moves throughout their 37 years.  She was a crafter, a homemaker, a quilter, but her favorite activity was being a mother and grandmother.  Her most cherished accomplishment was successfully homeschooling her two sons and watching them graduate and excel in life.

Angela was a devoted follower of Christ who understood Jesus’ command to “take up your cross and follow Me.”  She was a Reformed Baptist who cherished the church, teaching Women’s Bible Studies and supporting her husband’s ministry.  She labored faithfully alongside him until her end, seeking always to inspire the many lives she touched throughout their years of ministry.

Angela will be missed by her husband, Rev. Dr. Raymond Campbell, and her son, Raymond (Lacey) Campbell of Manassas, VA.; and son, Michael Campbell, of York, England; three grandchildren, Evelyn, Kason, and Charli Mae (due May 14th) of Manassas, VA; her sister, Mona (Wayne) Nash, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ovid, and Lola Brown; her sister, Sandy Thomas; and brother, Fred Brown.

A public visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South Fountain City. Chris Bailey, II will officiate Angela’s funeral ceremony at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, with burial to follow in Veteran’s Field of Honor, Earlham Cemetery.
