Wilma (Pollitt) Turner-Nelson, 88, of New Castle went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday December 16, 2022, at The Waters of New Castle. She was born January 10, 1927, in Hagerstown, Indiana to the late Clark R. Pollitt and Velma (LeWallen) Pollitt.
Wilma married Frank A. Nelson and enjoyed several years of marriage until his passing in 1991. Wilma attended New Hope Nazarene of Muncie. She worked various jobs throughout her years and retired from Chrysler Corporation. She was very active in the Civil Air Patrol of New Castle while in High School.
Left to cherish Wilma’s memory include her children Sarah (Steve) Saunders, Anita G. Shelton, and Lavana Sue (Doc) Walker; 20 Grandchildren and 40 + Great-Grandchildren. Along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wilma is proceeded in death by her parents (listed above), 4 husbands: Frank Nelson, Mason Shelton, Elmer Troxell and Travis Turner. Children: Harold Ray Shelton; Barbara Taylor and Jacqueline Otto: grandchildren; Stephen Saunders Jr. and Donald Saundersand great-grandchild Jared Elmore brothers; Francis L. Pollitt, James E. Pollitt, C. Ray Pollitt.
Visitation will be from 11-12:00 Tuesday, December 19th, 2022. Service will follow at 12:00 PM at Rose City Funeral Home 2011 Broad St., New Castle, In 47362 with Pastor Randy Tooley from Southside Church of the Nazarene officiating.
Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Hagerstown Indiana…
