Thomas David Pierce, 39 of Connersville, died Wednesday, January 12, 2022.

He was born in Opp, AL on October 25, 1982.  He had lived in the Hagerstown area for 13 years.  Dave grew up in Brantley AL and was very proud of where he came from. He was proud of the life he had created for himself and his family.  He was a hardworking man and a good man of unwavering character.  More than anything Dave was proud of his girls and he made sure they knew it each and every day.

Dave graduated from Crenshaw Christian Academy, Class of 2001.  He was an outstanding student-athlete, excelling in all sports and being named 2001 Male Athlete of the year.  He was a member of the 1997 State Championship Football Team and the 2000 State Championship Basketball Team; he was also a member of the Track Team and served as Captain of the 2000-2001 Football, Basketball, and Baseball Teams.  He was awarded a Baseball Scholarship to Enterprise State and then continued his education at Troy University.  Dave attended Sasser Church of Christ in Brantley, AL for several years.

He served the United States Navy aboard the USS Kearsarge stationed in Norfolk, VA.  He graduated MA school, served as a deck seaman, and crossrated as an Aviation Technician.  He made 2 deployments aboard the LHD3.  One to the Middle East and a humanitarian mission to South America.

He was a member of the Pipeliners Union 798 for several years.  He was the owner and CEO of his construction company in Connersville at the time.  He also enjoyed raising his angus cattle.

Thomas David Pierce was preceded in death by Lucile W. Barron, his grandmother.

Survivors include his wife, Kandice Jo (King) Pierce; his daughter, Kloe Lynn Pierce; his father in law, William Joseph King.

He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 19, at West Lawn Cemetery, Hagerstown.
