Sharon K. Blomeyer, age 82, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Reid Health.
Born February 28, 1940, in Connersville, Indiana, to Orville and Blanche Brake Applegeet. Sharon was a life-long resident of this area. She was retired from Maze Design, where she worked as an executive assistant. Sharon had formerly worked at Purina and Chenowith Cadillac. She enjoyed spending time with her Monday lunch group and her Friday night group. Sharon was a member at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and served on the funeral dinner committee. She also served on the board of directors at Interfaith Apartments. Sharon loved her friends and family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors include her God children, George (Jaya) Avirappattu of New Jersey and their children, Davis, Jacob, and Daniel; sister, Carolyn Clark of Williamsburg, Indiana; brother-in-law, Deany Steinard of Connersville; many nieces; nephews; cousins; and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Blomeyer, who died on December 16, 2020; parents; siblings, Ronald, Virginia, Bill, Vivian, Joyce, Charlotte, and Janet.
Visitation for Sharon K. Blomeyer will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
