Ronald “Hoppy” E. Hopkins, age 75, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Rosebud Village.

Born November 22, 1946, in Richmond, Indiana, to William James Howard and Mary Jane Shock Hopkins, Ronald was a member of this community all his life. He was a 1965 graduate of Richmond High School. Ronald was a Tool & Die Maker doing his apprenticeship under his father and worked at Quality Tool & Gage for 33 years. He then worked at Ahaus Tool & Engineering for 15 years before retirement. Ronald was a member of the Do Ri Me bowling league. He enjoyed watching racing, often traveling many hours to enjoy a race, fishing, bowling, traveling and spending quality time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Brown Hopkins, whom he married in 2003; daughters, Heather (Junior) Graham of Richmond, Indiana, and Gia (Dan) Stapleton of Centerville, Indiana; sister, Cheryl (Doug) Troup of Fort Wayne, Indiana;10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one aunt; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ronald Andrew Hopkins; sister, Carol Kennedy; brothers, Danny and Terry Hopkins.

Visitation for Ronald Eugene Hopkins will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Brown officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Centerville, Indiana.
