Rita Ann Dickerson, 66, of Richmond, formerly of New Castle passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, January 12, 2022.
She was born on December 18, 1955 in New Castle, IN, a daughter of the late James and Maggie Dickerson.
Rita graduated from New Castle Chrysler High School in 1974 and later attended Ball State University for nursing. She worked as a medical assistant and operated her residential and commercial cleaning business. Rita always had pretty flowers and loved to garden. She also enjoyed estate sales, rummage sales, light rock and country music were always playing in her home.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Michelle Moore (Randy), Stephanie (husband: Jim) Gauker and Matthew Ryan Davis; siblings, Paul Dickerson, Ernest Dickerson, Nadine (husband: Ray) Hacker and Kathleen Willoughby; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Dickerson; a sister, Dorene Young; a niece Barbara Dickerson and a nephew, Brian Young.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Sproles Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
Friends may call from 11 – 1 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
