Rick Allen Sapp, age 63, of Richmond, Indiana, died Monday, January 17, 2022, at Reid Health.
Born February 1, 1958, in Maysville, Kentucky, to Roger and Juanita Grey Sapp, Rick moved to Richmond in the late 1990s. He was a 1976 graduate of Winchester High School. Rick worked as a truck driver for TSN Express. He was a member of Southern Baptist Community Church. He also belonged to the Farmland Conservation Club and National Rifle Association (NRA). Rick enjoyed archery, hunting, fishing, playing cards, NASCAR, cooking, and good creative engineering.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Becky Lockwood Sapp; daughter, Samantha (Wesley) Cross of Losantville, Indiana; grandchildren, Wyatt and Savannah Cross; siblings, Dennis Sapp, Tony (Debbie) Sapp, Melissa Shanon, and Philip Sapp; mother, Juanita Talbot of Lynn, Indiana; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger, and cousin, Andy Sapp.
Memorial visitation for Rick Allen Sapp will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Marlow officiating. Following the service, the celebration will continue at 1:00 p.m. at Middlefork Reservoir, 1750 Sylvan Nook Drive, Richmond with food, fun, and fishing.
